hello.

there are some songs...even albums that resonate with me. some songs or albums just kind of remind you of a time and place in your life. flood of memories and what not.

2014 forest hills drive by j cole just does all the above. i think its the first hop hop album ive heard in awhile (because wale is a close favorite and his Gifted album was EVERYTHING) that reminds you of how beautiful words can be. how words MEAN things. and even the lack of them.
this album reminds me of regret, concern, sadness, joy, hard work, excitement, celebration, stress, worry, love, aspirations, admiration...damn, alot.

im kinda obsessed with it. and my favorite song on the album right now is...none other than..."hello"
you should take a listen. and be inspired.

We have so much time as young people to do GREAT things and MIGHTY works. We must not be idle but persistent, and I HIGHLY encourage you to continue by reading Ecclesiastes 12.

the loss of innocence

i simply have been revoked innocence
it's as if it doesnt even EXIST anymore
that simplicity is no longer equitable to me...or you
& accepting that fact might be the hardest thing to do

i heard when you've taken away almost everything somebody knows
they become a different person - strictly in survival mode
they just have the need to survive and the will to live
..& thats when everything that brought comfort & innocence was taken away
Innocence doesn’t live in them anymore…

sometimes i wish i could go back there...
like, you think a few years ago when your mind couldnt wrap around
some of the things that now your mind cant help but wonder about...
remember when lisa frank stickers was your biggest argument?
& not about issues with the bank over your credit card bill?
Remember when playing in a loose field meant trying to find a four leaf clover to play,

& the world doesnt allow room for simplicity anymore
everything is over the TOP
nothing of VALUE is valued
someone has to GIVE but no one EVER does
people who were once "friends" become strangers...
...& you're not even interested in them anymore...

A+ on the erotic nature of the video but not enough to come off as man-whoreish even though the nature of the video was him cheating with a woman who had a man. the sexual nature of the video was classy and not overbearing like a tacky porn or a really bad rap video with booty all in the cam and crotch in ur tv screen so im pleasantly satisfied in the watch!

i wanna be in a flashmob so bad!

after watching that infamous episode of The Modern Family where they flash mob happened in the middle in the mall...i've been infatuated with the idea of being in one! so i was browsing online online browsing and saw the craziest thing via Oprah's site..a FLASH MOB! so i'd ike to share one of the flash mobs i thought was so freakn cool. cool, right?
